Deep Roots Gardening

About Deep Roots Gardening

Molly Patnik’s love for nature began in her grandfather’s garden on the Eastern Shore of Kent Island. Her carefree childhood memories of running around barefoot among the lilacs, crab apple trees, and vast vegetable garden stayed with her, and as an adult, she turned her passion into a profession.

For over two decades, Molly has been bringing the beauty of nature to families and homes across the Main Line. Her team of highly skilled professionals is committed to providing exceptional service, ensuring that every project is completed to the highest standards.

Molly’s belief that the joy of nature is too beautiful not to share is the driving force behind her work. She knows that gardens are more than just pretty spaces; they bring peace, happiness, and a sense of harmony to our lives.

In her landscaping career, Molly focuses on crafting landscapes that not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of properties but also contribute to the well-being of people and the environment. She is a dedicated listener who collaborates closely with her clients to create landscapes that align with their objectives. Molly holds Certificates in Horticulture Therapy from the Tyler School as well as in Horticulture and Landscape Design from the Barnes Foundation.

“Simply the act of playing with the fleecy blossoms is enough to inspire a childlike whimsy. Likewise, seeing a collection of ‘Mt. Aso’ pussy willows bloom in tandem, as would be seen in a hedge, evokes a combination of feelings: from calm contentment, to happiness, to curiosity. Molly Patnik, owner and designer of Deep Roots Gardening in Pennsylvania, sent us a photo of a very happy and established installation of Salix gracilistyla ‘Mt. Aso’ in an outrageous full bloom performance, backed by some equally happy Magnolia grandiflora ‘Little Gem’ specimens that are creating an absolutely stunning hedge. Thanks, Molly!”
